Well suited for very bright day dives in e.g. Egypt or clear freshwater. Very good for fresh water with poor visibility  (no Glare).
But even night dives very good and in dark water e.g. Caves, wrecks, etc. The LED 1500 is unique in terms of light output and price in the market!

I waited a couple of months and a dozen dives before sending a feedback of my new TT1 + 1500 head. Some initial problems were solved by Ralf Werner of Tilly Tec USA and I started using the torch in cave and lake diving, mostly with murky and silty water.rnI must say that the brightness of the light head is really great and the intensity of light is constant for a long time.rnrnMat rn

Absolutely excellent light and beautifully made. Diving in murky UK waters, I was able to see an exceptional amount of detail on the wrecks dived. Colour rendition was very good, penetration excellent (a real 'light sabre effect') and coverage very even. There was very little glare even in dirty water. Compared to other lights used (and seen), the TillyTec made for a much more rewarding dive in dark-ish conditions. Quite the envy of my fellow divers!

I had a few lights before from other and must say this is really good quality. It is so bright you can even get blind if you look direct into it. My next light is going to be a tillytec again, thats for sure.
